A Nice Reminder That Life Can Be Found...And For All Of Us

My daughter Grace came home from church yesterday and shared a story that her church teacher had shared. With work keeping me so busy lately, I hadn't seen this in the news. I Googled it, and sure enough...it is true.

I appreciated so much the reminder from this story, that God CAN pull things together...even when it may seem all is lost or something is a seeming impossibility. So often life gets messy or even devastating, and it can become so difficult to see or even believe in certain potentials. And then you hear a story like this, where something that seems like a total and complete impossibility occurs. That when it seemed that all was lost...LIFE was found.

To me, a powerful reminder that with God, ALL things are possible!

Here is the news article sharing the story:

"Amid the devastation that is a natural disaster of the nature of the earthquake that Japan is reeling under, there are sometimes what seem to be miracles, and this feel good story could only be categorized as one of them."

"On Monday, On March 14, soldiers from Japan's Self-Defense Force went door-to-door in Ishinomaki, a coastal town northeast of Senda in Miyagi prefecture. Accustomed as they were to pulling bodies from the homes of that town, ones that had been flattened by either the earthquake or the tsunami, or both, they thought they heard a baby cry, but then discounted it. That is, they discounted it, until they heard it for a second time."

"The soldiers found her as they unpiled debris from a pile. She was a 4-month-old baby girl wearing a pink woolen bear suit."

"The story behind her near-loss was that a wave swept the girl from the arms of her parents when it struck their home on the day of the quake, March 11. Both of the parents survived, and stayed in their wreck house, obviously concerned that their child was dead. They are now happy beyond belief, as parents have child have since been reunited."
